Hayley Downs
Video and Film Producer

Hayley Downs is an experimental and documentary film producer. Her video, "Coleslaw Wrestling", was screened at the New York Underground Film Festival, the Chicago Underground Film Festival, The John Hopkins Film Festival and the San Francisco Film Festival. It can be purchased, without her permission, on the Internet. Originally from Central Florida, she has been documenting cracker culture, or multi-generational folk culture, for many years. "Move", a documentary on true Miami culture was created on commission from Miami Light Project, in collaboration with DJ Le Spam, and continues to show in museums and galleries including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami, Florida. Her scratch video, "Boar Hog", was screened at Art Basel in 2003. She edited "Descarga Gusano", a music video for the Latin Grammy nominated group, The Spam Allstars. Currently Hayley is producing HIDDEN BATTLES, a feature length documentary about the psychological effects of killing on soldiers internationally www.hiddenbattles.com. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Marlan.
